Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, the 2025-P Proof Silver Eagle bears the distinctive “P” mint mark and a unique privy mark designed to commemorate the Marine Corps’ founding in 1775. The mark, located near the coin’s edge, honors the Corps’ centuries-long tradition of service, valor, and dedication to country.
The coin retains its classic design elements: Adolph A. Weinman’s iconic Walking Liberty on the obverse and Emily Damstra’s heraldic eagle design on the reverse — a combination that has made the Silver Eagle one of the most collected coins in the world.
U.S. Mint officials say the new issue aims to honor both military history and the artistry of American coinage. “This coin stands as a tribute to the men and women of the Marine Corps who have defended our freedom for 250 years,” the Mint said in its announcement.
The 2025-P Proof American Silver Eagle with the Marine Corps privy mark will be available in limited quantities, making it a must-have for collectors, patriots, and numismatists alike.
Sales are expected to begin later this year through the Mint’s official website, with household order limits likely in place due to anticipated demand.
