The Seahawks’ defensive front dominated the line of scrimmage, recording multiple sacks and keeping Washington’s offense off balance. Linebacker Bobby Wagner once again showed why he’s the heart of this defense, leading with key tackles and veteran leadership. The secondary, led by standout cornerback Devon Witherspoon, locked down the Commanders’ receivers and forced several key third-down stops.
While the offense took some time to find rhythm, the defense’s early energy created momentum that carried throughout the game. The Seahawks capitalized on a first-half turnover, turning it into points and never looked back.
Head coach Pete Carroll praised his team’s defensive execution after the game, noting that “our defense played fast, physical, and smart football today — exactly the way we want to play.”
With this win, Seattle improves their record and keeps pace in the NFC playoff race. If their defense continues performing at this level, the Seahawks could be one of the toughest teams to face in the second half of the season.
